Injured On The Job host and Californians Injured At Work director Sam Gold & Injured On The Job host and labor activist Steve Zeltzer were the lead off guests on the John Rothmann show on KGO Newstalk Radio 810AM during the 1AM to 2AM hour on Sunday morning April 2, 2006.

KGO Radio is the Disney/ABC owned #1 Neilsen rated 50,000 watt clear-channel Newstalk AM station in San Francisco that can be heard all over the Western United States in the night & evenings.

They also webstream the program live at www.kgo.com for those who cannot receive it over the airwaves.

The focus topic that was discussed was the California Workers Compensation system and why there is no visable accountability or enforcement of the laws that supposedly protect Californias occupationally injured.

The phone lines lit up like a Christmas tree with injured workers telling their stories and even a caller from Philadelphia. Pa. Now that's a strong signal!

It might have been the middle of the night, but there were plenty of listeners wanting to particpate in this lively discussion.

Our phones at CIAW have been ringing off of the hook since, with injured workers who were unaware of the existence of an injured workers advocacy organization like Californians Injured At Work, and now know that there IS a place to go for help. I'm sure that we will have several of them on "Injured On The Job"! Remember it's your show not ours!

We created this show to place a real face on the California Workers Compensation problem. Californians have to see the faces of those who have been victimized by this system that is so out of control. Then and only then will our legislators have the incentive to do something about it.
