The Cost Of Doing Business

To run an organization like ours, and to serve injured workers as a national advocacy voice takes a lot of time and resources even when many of those serving it's membership volunteer their time, and are unpaid. When you take your organization to a national service level, the costs just soar out of sight. Phones, office supplies, computers, duplication costs and of course the production costs of "Injured On The Job." It just never ends...

We regretfully had to make the decision to charge a yearly membership fee to cover these costs and the other services that we provide. We wish we didn't have to charge a membership fee at all, but the realities of business survival dictate otherwise. It has to come from somewhere and if we can't get it from grants and other sources, we have to appeal to our members. After all, NOIW is YOU!

Unlike some other advocacy organizations, at NOIW, you can actually see your money at work!

Take for example our television program "Injured On The Job", the only scheduled TV program of it's type that exposes the rampant fraud and corruption in the Workers' Compensation system. And then there's the Injured Workers Television Network, the only one of its kind in existence! We produce it on a shoestring budget, no frills or fancy, just the cold, hard facts. Everyone is a volunteer so 100% of every donation goes to the organization's expenses! After all this is the 21st century, and you had better embrace 21st century media methods or you will be left in the ensuing dust cloud!

Why do we do it? Because YOU have a right to know the truth!

If you want to financially help, it is certainly appreciated, but only if you can afford it. And if you can't afford it, no problem, ask for a membership fee waiver when you join. There is a checkbox on the form. Make sure that it is selected when you submit the form.
